Orthotics (or orthoses) are rigid in-shoe devices which support the foot and correct movement in the foot which can lead to abnormality and discomfort in the foot and lower limb.

Your Podiatrist will tailor the choice of orthotic to your foot type; variables include material thickness, rigidity or stiffness, shape/arch height. For the majority of the general public an “off the shelf” prescription device will be suitable and can be modified with wedges and raises appropriate to your needs.

For those with very highly arched feet, very flat feet, or those requiring a bespoke device; this can be customised where by an impression of the foot is taken and sent for the orthotic to be CNC milled to fit your foot perfectly.

For sports use a lightweight, durable orthotic can also be prescribed.
